What to Do if Your Abbott FreeStyle Libre CGM Sensor Stops Working
Abbott FreeStyle Libre sensors are designed for consistent wear and reliable glucose readings. However, you may occasionally experience a sensor error, early detachment, scanning issue, or interrupted data transmission. If your sensor stops working before the end of its wear period, there are steps you can take to resolve the issue quickly.
First, review any on-screen messages in the Libre app or reader. If the sensor has ended early or displays an error that cannot be resolved through troubleshooting, you will need to remove it and apply a new sensor. Be sure to follow the setup instructions carefully when activating the replacement.
For For defective or faulty sensors, the manufacturer will provide a replacement at no cost. Byram Healthcare does not replace failed sensors directly, as these are covered under the manufacturerโs warranty program.
